در جشنواره کن عنوان شد سازمان ملل تهیه کننده یک فیلم درباره حقوق بشر شده است. این فیلم حاوی 18 فیلم کوتاه است که توسط 18 فیلمساز مطرح جهان ساخته خواهد شد. از ایران سمیرا مخملباف ساخت یکی از این فیلم ها را به عهده خواهد گرفت.

Samira Makhmalbaf said she’s determined to finish “The Two-Legged Horse,” despite the March 27 bombing that brought lensing to a halt.
At a press conference here Friday, Iranian helmer Makhmalbaf was joined by her father, co-scribe and fellow helmer, Mohsen, to present seven minutes of the film, which is 85% completed.
On Tuesday March 27, 2007 at 12:20 pm in Baluch Khaneh district of Sarpol City in Afghanistan the explosion of a bomb at the shooting scene of "Two-legged Horse" (Asbe do-pa), Samira Makhmalbaf’s new film, resulted in severe injuries of 6 people and a number of extras and the death of one horse.
The bomber first entered the filming group as an extra among hundred others and then threw the bomb from the roof top.
روز سه شنبه مورخ 8/1/86 در ساعت 12:20 بعد از ظهر در منطقه بلوچ خانه شهر سرپل در افغانستان انفجار یک بمب به هنگام فیلمبرداری فیلم "اسب دو پا" به کارگردانی سمیرا مخملباف منجر به زخمی شدن شدید شش نفر، مرگ یک اسب و مجروح شدن تعدادی از هنروران شد.
شخص پرتاب کننده بمب ابتدا به صورت یکی از صد سیاهی لشگر حاضر در صحنه وارد گروه شده است و بعد از روی بام اقدام به پرتاب بمب به سوی گروه فیلمسازی کرده است.
Samira Makhmalbaf is invited to George Pompidou Museum where there is a special screening of her second feature film the Blackboard. This screening is as a part of an anniversary of Fabrica. There will be an exhibition and a Festival of Fabrica’s cultural activities in which a wide program will be dedicated to Fabrica Cinema productions. Samira Makhmalbaf will be attending a panel discussion on Cinema of the world. This program will be held on October the 12th this year in George Pompidou Museum.
سمیرا مخملباف به مناسبت نمایش فیلم تخته سیاه در سالگرد فعالیت های فابریکا در موزه ژرژ پمپیدو حضور خواهد یافت و در میز گرد سینما در جهان معاصر شرکت خواهد کرد. تاریخ این برنامه 12 اکتبر است.
Stray Dogs directed by Marziyeh Meshkiny, another Makhmalbaf Film House production in Kabul, is being released in cinemas across London. This film is being distributed by Artificial Eye in England.
Stray Dogs had its world premier in competition section of Venice Film Festival in the year 2004 where it receive two awards. This film has been screened in the following International Film Festivals so far:
